Neuroprosthetics

My research activities have spanned motor control, learning, and sensorimotor integration, and throughout my career have focused on finding ways to use non-human primate models to explore these issues. In the last 5 years I have focused increasingly on clinically relevant issues in research, particularly with respect to neuroprosthetics. While neuroprosthetics is an important field in its own right, in our laboratory we view brain-machine interface as a novel platform in which to test ideas regarding sensory processing, sensorimotor integration, and learning.
